Lynas Rare Earths  

Jagcor was the main civil contractor for Lynas’s $800m Kalgoorlie Processing Facility. Jagcor worked closely with Lynas over a two year + period – overcoming design and constructability issues to deliver a quality project and considerable cost savings for the client.

Savings and synergies were extracted by combining both the concrete supply and install packages under a single contract with Jagcor.

Works are set to be completed in Q4 2023, with total concrete volumes of 28,000 m3 +. This included 8,000m3 of concrete with Caltite additive, and 40,000m3 + of detailed excavations/earthworks.

Jagcor supplied other contractors on site with concrete and stabilised sand – optimising overall project efficiency.

Jagcor’s on-site NATA accredited concrete and soil testing facilities were also a major asset for the project. Major concrete structures completed by Jagcor included the 4000m3 Kiln and the 3000m3 Filter Building.
